We had two people to stay on Sat night - jabberworks and Mark Stafford - which made for a fun sociable time at breakfast before we headed out back to the East Oxford Community Centre. Friday - day off work, husbanding energy to take me through the weekend, and also giving me time to do stuff that has to be done before CAPTION opened. ...There's going to be a Dreddcon in Oxford on the 6th of December. Interestingly, they're using the Oxford Union and getting a special deal on some of the beers (£1 a pint on selected beers). I'm not sure whether to think 'hey, that's our venue' or to cheer them on. Well, it's another item on the calendar, eh?

Pub last night (CBS) was fun, as usual. Talked about lots of things: like that when I said (sheepishly, apologetically) that I found Marston to be an overly dark and pub-free area of Oxford and was quite glad not to be living there, the Marstonites amongst us (Adrian, Jo) felt just the same, but about Florence Park.
